Come with an idea,
Leave with a Retreat.
A 4-day retreat leadership intensive for yoga teachers ready to take their teaching beyond the studio.
Cloud 9 Resorts
Yucca Valley, California
November 13–16
You know how to sequence a class.
You know how to hold space.
You know how to create connection.
But hosting a retreat brings an entirely different set of questions.
Where do I host it?
How much do I charge?
How do I know if I'll actually make money?
What if no one signs up?
How do I find the property, chef, transportation and experiences?
What happens when something goes wrong?
And perhaps the biggest one:

Over four immersive days in Joshua Tree, you'll experience a retreat from the inside while I pull back the curtain on
everything happening behind it.
From pricing and property selection to marketing, itineraries, guest experience and the unexpected things nobody warns you about.
You'll learn the business of retreats by actually living inside one.
You won't just learn how to host a retreat. You'll build yours.
YOU'LL ARRIVE WITH
An idea.
A dream destination.
A Notes app full of possibilities.
And probably a lot of questions.
↓
YOU'LL LEAVE WITH
Your retreat concept.
Your destination strategy.
Your budget.
Your pricing.
Your itinerary.
Your marketing message.
Your launch strategy.
And most importantly:

Build an experience worth traveling for.
Define your concept, transformation, ideal guest, theme, destination and signature experiences.

Know your numbers.
Learn budgeting, break-even points, profit margins, deposits, payment plans, room tiers and contingency planning.

Turn the vision into logistics.
Properties, chefs, transportation, excursions, vendors, waivers, room assignments, communication and timelines.

Learn how to fill the rooms.
Messaging, Instagram, email, storytelling, early-bird offers, launches, personal invitations and follow-up.

Become more than the yoga teacher.
Group dynamics, boundaries, conflict, emotional moments, emergencies and holding space outside the studio.

Leave with a plan.
Turn everything you've created into a 90-day roadmap toward launching your retreat.
Everything becomes a case study.
The dinner you just ate?
We'll break down the chef cost and how it affected your retreat price.
The property you're sleeping in?
We'll discuss how it was sourced, evaluated and budgeted.
The itinerary you're experiencing?
You'll learn why each activity was placed where it was.
The welcome gift waiting in your room?
We'll talk about whether it actually adds value—and what it costs.
The yoga class you just took?
We'll break down how programming supports the emotional arc of a retreat.

With built in free time to enjoy the magic of Joshua Tree
Over the past 5 years of teaching full time in studios, I eventually realized that some of the most powerful experiences you could create couldn't fit inside a 60-minute class. Students want to connect deeper with you and their practice.
That's when I discovered the magic of hosting retreats. Not only did my relationships with my students grow, I was able to make a living working as a full time yoga instructor.
From intimate California experiences to international destination retreats, I've learned how to bring together yoga, travel, food, adventure, community and transformation—and I've also learned the less glamorous side: budgets, payment plans, transportation, room assignments, vendors, cancellations and everything that happens when the plan doesn't go according to plan.
HOST is everything I've learned—the things that worked, the things that didn't, and the things I wish someone had told me sooner.

A one-of-a-kind sanctuary where a private sand beach meets the wild, dramatic beauty of the Mojave.

A few days outside your normal routine to think bigger about what's possible for your teaching.
